Russian ensemble “Harmonija”
Russian ensemble “Harmonija” was formed in 2000. Its leader is Olga Gaile. The ensemble’s repertoire includes Russian folk songs, Russian author songs, as well as Latvian and Latgalian songs.
The ensemble has participated in all cultural events of the Rezekne city, as well as the 825th anniversary celebration of Ludza city and the Russian Culture Days in Riga. It has performed in several Latvian cities. In 2005, on the stage of the Moscow House, the ensemble was awarded the diploma of the winner of the All-Latvian festival “When the soul sings”.
Very interesting is the search of creativity of the ensemble, combining the rhythms of Russian folklore and modern music in one song.
The ensemble “Harmony” is characterized by an extraordinary approach to elderly-known songs, and its professionalism is always pleasantly surprising.
